Markus is a Research Associate in Political Theory. Prior to joining the University of Hamburg, he was a Research Associate at TU Darmstadt. He has held visiting positions at University College London, London School of Economics and Political Science, and Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona. Markus' research interests lie in the areas of democratic theory, constitutional theory, and international political theory. His book Constituent Power in the European Union was published by Oxford University Press in 2020.
