My entire backstory is easily worth a few volumes, but to ensure you remain awake, I’ll just offer you the highlights.

I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. In fact, my earliest brush with literary notoriety came at the ripe old age of maybe nine, when I penned my first draft of, 'My Mum’s So Old She’s Almost Dust.' While my brain has always been absolute Velcro to words, narrative, and the world of visual play, it has conversely acted as a sort of Teflon to mathematics and the numerical world in general. I effectively have what I call, an allergy to numbers. It was a frustrating quirk growing up, but it eventually paid off by providing the exact impetus I needed to write and illustrate my first children’s book, Count Dyscalculia.

Whether it’s a short story, political commentary, or a perfectly crafted shopping list, the pen, rivaled only by my love for illustration, has been the dearest of companions. Six books later, you might safely consider me hooked.
