Academies: the self-interest that can divide local communities

Rebecca is a writer and speaker, and currently works part-time as the Executive Director of the Suffolk Primary Headteachers' Association. She has been a headteacher, school governor, trust CEO and is a trustee with Suffolk Libraries. She has written for various publications including The Headteacher and The Guardian, and has recently been commissioned by Bloomsbury to write a book on school governance. She is especially interested in inclusion, governance, environmental issues, valuing the marginal and diversity. She also likes running very long distances and can often be found on a river path somewhere in the East of England.
