“Urgent action needed to tackle deep rooted and persistent racial disparities in policing,” says a Home Affairs Committee Report. It comes twenty-two years on from the publication of the Macpherson report that followed the Inquiry into the racist murder of Stephen Lawrence. The new report was released just days after the prime minister described stop and search as “kind and loving”.
